# on_invalid

The `on_invalid` option of an extract field.

What happens to a value that cannot be parsed or breaks a constraint: `null` (the default), `raw` keeps the unparsed string, `fail` fails the job with `validation_failed`, `drop` removes the item from its list (only inside a `many` field).
