# select

The `select` step.

Chooses an option of a native `<select>` element, by exactly one of `value`, `label` or `index` (lint `E001` otherwise).

Type: `target`

## Keys

| Key | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `select.index` | `integer` | The 0-based position of the option to choose. |
| `select.label` | `string` | The visible text of the option to choose, a template. |
| `select.value` | `string` | The `value` attribute of the option to choose, a template. |
