# Referrals

Share your organisation's referral link, see what your referrals did, and know what both sides earn on a referred organisation's first payment.

Every organisation has a referral link. When someone signs up through it and their organisation
makes its first payment, both sides are rewarded once: they get extra credits on what they bought,
and your organisation earns credits too.

## Your link

**Settings → Referrals** shows your organisation's link with a copy button, and the rates in force
for it. Everyone on the team can see the page; owners and admins can **Regenerate** the link. The
old link stops working at once, and organisations that already signed up through it stay yours.

The link opens the sign-up page. The first link a person opens is the one that counts, for 30 days:
opening a second link later does not change it. Only the organisation created when the person signs
up is attributed, and you cannot refer your own organisation or one you are a member of.

## What both sides get

| | On the referred organisation's first payment |
|---|---|
| The referred organisation | 10 % extra credits on the credits it bought: the pack, or its plan's first monthly allowance |
| Your organisation | 20 % of those credits, as credits |

Rewards are paid once per referred organisation, on its first payment only; later payments earn
nothing more. Reward credits are promotional credits that expire 12 months after they are granted,
and they show in the ledger as **Referral bonus** and **Referral reward**. The page shows the rates
that apply to your organisation now; Kaabist may agree different rates with you.

When a referred organisation is entitled to the bonus, the billing page says so beside each price:
*Referral: +10 % credits on this first payment*.

## Following your referrals

The page lists the organisations that signed up through your link, newest first, with the day they
signed up, where they are (**Signed up**, **Paid** or **Refunded**) and what you earned from each.
It never shows who they are: no names, addresses or members.

A reward can be **held for review** when an unusual number of referrals pay in one month; Kaabist
checks it and releases it. The owners of your organisation are e-mailed when a reward is granted.

## Refunds

If the rewarded first payment is refunded, the reward is taken back: whatever is left of the reward
credits expires, on both sides. Credits already spent are not reclaimed, and no balance goes below
zero because of it.

## Who can do what

| Action | Roles |
|---|---|
| See the link, the rates and the referrals | Everyone in the organisation |
| Regenerate the link | Owner, admin |

Regenerating the link is recorded in the organisation's audit log.
